Short bio:

My name is Parastoo Jabbari. I was born in Qazvin, Iran. In 2010, I entered Sharif University of Technology to study Civil Engineering, based on the passion I had for designing structures. However, soon I learned about Transportation Engineering and how broad it is and how as a Civil Engineer, you can work many cool technologies such as Automated Vehicles. Besides that, as I grew older my concerns for protecting environment was also growing. Therefore, I decided to dedicate my graduate studies to research about sustainable transportation systems.

In 2014, I immigrated to U.S. and in the fall of 2015, I started my master program at University of Washington (UW) in Seattle. Since then I am also working as graduate research assistant in Sustainable Transportation Lab at UW.

Right now, I am working on different aspects of electric vehicles and automated vehicles and their effects on transportation systems and urban areas. My ultimate goal is to earn a PhD in the same field and continue my career as a researcher.
