Statement of Purpose to Join SUTA

SUTA was established in 2001 as an independent, volunteer based, non-profit organization in the State of California. SUTA's culture is about connecting people and giving back to the community of Sharif University. Over the past 20 years SUTA has come a long way to become a global organization to connect all those associated with Sharif University to each other and to the University. Our reunions and chapter events have become a popular forum to bring together faculty, alumni, and students from different parts of the globe to renew old friendships and begin new ones, share their personal and professional experience, and remember the unique time we all spent at Sharif University.

Since inception SUTA has focused on two key goals: connecting Sharif University alumni worldwide, and offering educational and social programs and events to help learning and growth of its stakeholders and promote Sharif University.

As a member of the board of SUTA during three board, I have tried to use the skills acquired throughout 25 years of professional experience in the US, and collaborate with other board members and other SUTA associates to contribute to the networking and educational programs towards the above two goals and in-line with SUTA mission and bylaws.

I believe the contributions made and the experience gained during three SUTA boards have made me an effective member of SUTA management to lead this organization on its path to future growth and serve the community of Sharif University.
