Webinar on Zoom scheduled for July 18, 2020 at 12 Noon EST by Farrokh Mohamadi, Ph.D.

Entrepreneur, Visionary, Problem Solver and Inventor.

Dr. Mohamadi has nearly forty years of experience with diverse, multi-disciplined careers addressing state-of-the-art technologies and the development of semiconductor and sub-system products. He has hands-on experience with all phases of planning, design, productization and qualification tactics, allocating and monitoring budgets, and managing the financial performance of various operations.

During past decades, he has led the development and launch of more than twenty innovative systems by fusing multiple sensors to scan and provide radio frequency images of various stationary or on-the-move objects. He has directed the development of advanced electronics-based imaging algorithms to detect anomalies in homogenous media. He has launched first-in-the-industry drones and land robots integrated with fused sensors for a variety of land and aerial applications. Lately, he has been addressing machine vision and neural networks applications to identify objects in a clutter, as well as pattern recognition algorithms for collision avoidance of autonomous systems.

Dr. Mohamadi has founded multiple startups in the fields of objects scanning and imaging, SATCOM and wireless communications. He is currently the founder and president of TiaLinx, Inc., which is a leading developer of state-of-the-art multi-spectra fused-sensors integrated with ultra-wideband (UWB) millimeter and microwave cluster of radiometry systems that can be used for a variety of artificial intelligence-based applications to save lives.

He is also the co-founder and chairperson of the Board of Intellicopter, Inc., which is developing Intellirover robots to assist in the autonomous delivery of medicine and goods in hospitals.

Dr. Mohamadi has prior experience with a myriad of Fortune 500 companies, such as Broadcom Corporation, Lucent Technologies, and Oak Technologies, where he developed the industry’s first 10 GbE transceivers, optical networking, QPSK and QAM chips for digital satellite content delivery, respectively. As an executive of National Semiconductor Corporation (acquired by Texas Instruments) he was responsible for $300M of manufacturing and operations of semiconductor products with more than 1,000 employees in his organization.

His teams in various companies have developed first-in-the-industry products over many decades, such as the LM12L458 (12 bit data acquisition system on a chip, 1993), BCM8010 (10 GbE transceivers for automotive and industrial applications, 2000), XPT110 (fully integrated single TIA, CDR, LD and LA with XFP interface for WAN/LAN/SAN markets, 2001), Cougar20-H (sense-through-the-wall robot for first responders, 2011), Phoenix50-H (sense-through-the-roof drone for first responders, 2011), Lynx10-B (sense-through-the-ground post-earthquake live person detector, Intellinet Sensor merger, 2015), AR60-A (millimeter wave scanner to detect abnormal tissues, MamoMedix merger, 2015), and Artificial Intelligence-based networks (2017-2019).

He has had the privilege of working with many brilliant and industrious Iranian technical staff over the past four decades. Many of the innovative product launches are the result of teamwork by his Iranian, Iranian-American, and international team members.

He received his B.S.E.E. from Sharif University, Ph.D.E.E. and M.S.E.E. from Stanford University, and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Dr. Mohamadi has authored dozens of peer reviewed technical papers related to the properties of heavy metals and large scale chip interconnects and integrated circuit manufacturing, owns 73 granted U.S. patents and 15 pending patents related to the applications of Machine Learning and Computer Vision, RF Beamforming, Scanner Imaging, distributed polarized EHF and SHF antenna arrays, wafer scale integration of active arrays, clock distribution at extreme speeds, non-volatile memory cells, high voltage Si based devices, and polarized W-band Transmitter-Receivers:

He takes great pride in his Persian heritage and in recognition of his mentor Dr. Mohamad Ali Modjtahedi (Principal of Alborz High School and Founder of the Arya-Mehr University-- Sharif Technology University), he has produced and dedicated to him tens of documentary clips about the innovations by the Ancient Persians from Medes, Achaemenid, Parthian, and Sassanid empires, and the history of many Persian polymaths in the post Islamic era: https://t.me/InnovativePersians

Dr. Mohamadi was also a co-founder of the Society of Iranian Professionals in 1982 to expand networking amongst the community of Iranian professionals in the Bay Area and Northern California. He is an admirer of many of his friends in academia who have dedicated their career and life to educate and train future scientists, engineers, educators, and researchers with an immense love to serve the world and take pride in their heritage. He believes solutions to address many of the world’s problems can be tackled by tolerance, creating an environment of constructive criticism, rejecting complacence, and emphasizing education.

Other channels that he has created and could be of interest to the public is about Artificial Intelligence in the English language: https://t.me/ArtificialNeuralNetworks, and in Parsi narration: https://t.me/AIPersian.
