On January 23rd, BoD 12 sent out an email containing the 2023 SUTA Year-End Report. The content of the report is reshared via this post for those who may have missed the email:

Dear SUTA Members and Associates,

With best wishes for the 2024 new year, we would like to share with you the report of the important work done and the progress on programs in hand.

In adherence to our motto of “Put the interest of SUTA first in a law-abiding organization”. BoD12 adopts, respects and follows the main principles of

• Compliance with applicable Laws and Regulations

• Clarity and Transparency,

• Fairness, inclusivity, equality of rights and engagement,

• Effective and professional Communications with members,

• Performance Review and Continuous Improvement.

Since our last letter in August 2023, the following tasks have been accomplished:

• Presenting the proposed new SUTA Bylaw to members for vote, collecting and announcing the results on Oct 30th of 2023.We hereby wish to express our sincere appreciation to the Bylaws Committee and the Referendum Executive team for carrying out this important work.

• Establishing and approving internal guidelines for a more efficient collaboration among the directors as well as committees.

  • Inviting and welcoming volunteers for participating in different committees.

  • Establishing and approving all committees' charters, and also:

  • The Bylaws and guidelines Committee has resumed its task and invited the new members to write the guidelines for the new bylaws.

  • The Chapters Committee's proposal on meeting between each chapter members and the BoD12 was approved.

  • The Communication Committee has started updating the website and streamlining the process of needs assessments, making the required improvements on the website pages, and maintaining constant efforts and continuous improvements as an essential key for a more modern and informative website.

  • The Membership Committee's proposalon improving the membership process was passed. Therefore, a universal membership fee of $25 for regular and associate members and $10 for students was approved. As a token of appreciation, the BoD12 granted Mrs. Hedwig Hojabri the Honorary membership of SUTA.

  • The Awards and Grants Committee's proposal for 2024 nominations was approved and the first announcement has been communicated.

  • The Mentorship Committee's process and announcement has been approved and communicated.

  • The Reunions and Events Committee's report of the proposals for the location of the Reunion 2024 was reviewed and approved. The location and time of the next reunion was selected.

  • The BoD12 has posted 3 announcements about university events and the dismissal of professors on all SUTA social media.

Current projects and their progress

We are excited to report that the following programs are actively in progress:

• The Bylaws and guidelines Committee is working on writing the required guidelines.

• The Chapters Committee is scheduling the meetings with all chapter members. The 1st meeting with Southern California members was conducted and more meetings with other chapters will be organized in the next few months. The goal is for the BoD12 to hear the feedbacks, ideas and concerns from the members in each chapter.

• The Communication Committee is establishing a procedure to streamline and expedite the communication processes on all social media platforms. It is a continuous effort to be maintained for more informative and up to date communication channels.

• The Membership Committee is working on streamlining the process of membership with the goal of offering members a higher quality service.

• The Awards and Grants Committee is currently accepting the nominations for different awards, and applications for student grants. See 2024 SUTA Awards and Grants Announcement.

• The Mentorship Committee ongoing program is currently accepting applications from new mentors and mentees. See SUTA Presents Mentorship Program Announcement.

• The Reunions and Events Committee is processing the details of the approved Reunion 2024 proposal, in collaboration with the local chapter. Stay tuned for more information on Reunion 2024.

• The BoD12 monthly meetings are open to all members as observers. The minutes of the meetings ( MoM) are available on the Important Documents page under About US/Board 12.on the website.

• A regular Financial Statement of SUTA will be available on the website. This copy of SUTA Financial Statement for fiscal year 2023 is made available to members.

Concluding Notes

BoD12 strives to build a strong, well connected, volunteer base community that can help its members improve their social and professional life. We are welcoming feedback and ideas for empowering SUTA and taking it to a higher level of professionalism worldwide.

با آرزوی بهترین‌ها در آغاز سال ۲۰۲۴، مایلیم گزارش کارهای مهمی را که انجام شده و نیز وضعیت برنامه‌های در دست اقدام را با شما به اشتراک بگذاریم

در راستای وفاداری به شعار: « اول سوتا، سوتاى قانونمدار »، این هیأت مدیره اصول اساسی ذیل را اتخاذ کرده و متعهدانه از آن‌ها پیروی می‌کند:

•  تعهد به قانونمندى ورعايت موازين قانونى و حقوقى حاكم بر سازمان
• وضوح و شفافیت
• انصاف، فراگیر بودن، برابری حقوق و مشارکت
• ارتباطات مؤثر و حرفه‌ای با اعضا
• بررسی عملکرد و بهبود مستمر

از زمان آخرین نامه ما در اوت ۲۰۲۳ امور ذیل به انجام رسیده است:

• ارائه‌ی اساسنامه‌ی نوین پیشنهادی به اعضا و رأی‌گیری و اعلامن نتایج در ۳۰ اوت ۲۰۲۳ که ما را بر آن می‌دارد بابت انجام این کار مهم از کمیته اساسنامه و تیم اجرایی همه‌پرسی، خالصانه قدردانی کنیم.
• تدوین و تأیید آئين نامه های شیوه‌نامه‌های داخلی جهت همکاری بهینه‌تر اعضای هیأت مدیره و کمیته‌ها
• دعوت و استقبال از داوطلبان عضویت در کمیته‌های مختلف
• تدوین و تأیید منشور کمیته‌هاى فعال و پيشبرد امور در كميته هاى زير:

 برنامه هاى در دست انجام و پیشرفت‌ آنها

  شما می‌توانید با داوطلب شدن در فعالیت‌ها، مربی‌گری برای مهارت‌جویان، پشتيبانی مالی و يا معنوی از سوتا، با اشتراك گذاشتن ایده‌ها و نظرات خود به ایمیل board@suta.org هميار انجمن باشید.
