Dear Members and Friends of SUTA
We are pleased to announce the start of the SUTA’s 10th Board of Directors. It is indeed a pleasure for us to serve the global community of Sharif University of Technology. The new board is composed of several former SUTA board members with a collective experience of over 50 years at Sharif University alumni organizations. Board members include: Dariush Alipour (SUT’98, Sweden), Siamak Aram (SUT’09, Washington DC), Shiva Davoodpour (SUT’72, Washington DC), Farzad Khomami (SUT’88, Toronto), Shahriar Makarechi (SUT’75, Virginia), Farrokh Malihi (SUT’75, Virginia), Mohamad Reza Motamed (SUT’, Tehran), Farzin Radkani (SUT’89, Melbourne).
Over the past twenty years Sharif University of Technology Association (SUTA) has come a long way to become a global organization to connect all those associated with Sharif University of Technology to each other and to the university. Our reunions have become a popular forum to bring together faculty, alumni, and students of Sharif University from different parts of the globe to renew old friendships and begin new ones, share their personal and professional experience, and remember the unique time we all spent at Sharif University. SUTA chapters all over the world including chapters in California, Toronto, Sweden, Vancouver, Seattle, Washington DC, Australia and Dubai have become active in social and professional events bringing together local alumni and friends. Our award programs have provided a means for recognition of outstanding achievements of faculty and students in research, education and service to Sharif University.
Successful implementation of the above programs require active involvement, and contribution from all of us. Support from members like you allows SUTA to continue pursuing programs that are truly important to our members and to the university. As a first step you can renew your membership online on our website, and invite your friends to join SUTA. If you are interested to work with any of the SUTA committees managing these programs, or wish to be involved in local chapters activities, please contact us at board@suta.org.
Please also join us in making a gift to SUTA this year. Your gift of any amount provides resources we need to continue making an impact on Sharif University community. To make your gift please visit our website at www.suta.org where details are provided.
Sincerely,
Farrokh Malihi and the members of the 10th Board of SUTA
